What is the What Is My Browser? Browser and Device Info?

A browser info checker reads what your browser reports to every site: user agent, platform, language, screen and viewport size, pixel ratio, time zone and connection hints. It is useful for testing responsive design and reproducing bugs.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

Use the viewport width and pixel ratio to decide which CSS breakpoint applies, and the user agent and platform to reproduce a visitor bug on the same setup. Copy the table into a bug report so a developer can see your browser, version, screen and language. If you test responsive design, resize the window and run the tool again to see the viewport change. Note the colour scheme and reduced motion settings, which your site can respect through CSS media queries.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not rely on user agent strings to detect devices in your site code, as they can be changed and are increasingly reduced. Avoid assuming a small screen means mobile, since viewport size is what layouts respond to. Remember that crawlers use their own agents, so this tool shows your browser, not how Googlebot sees a page.
