About this tool

What is the Title Case Converter?

A title case converter reformats a heading into title case (keeping small words like "of" and "and" lowercase), sentence case or other styles. Consistent capitalisation keeps titles and headings tidy across a site.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

The output restyles your heading according to the capitalisation rule you chose. Compare the result with your style guide, since conventions differ on short words, hyphenated terms and words after colons. Check brand names, acronyms and product names such as iPhone or SEO, because automatic conversion can alter them. Once the case is right, read the heading as a whole to confirm it still makes sense, fits its length target and uses the same style as your other headings. Apply one style consistently across title tags, H1s and navigation. Then paste the text into your CMS and preview it, as themes sometimes apply their own uppercase or lowercase styling on top of your text.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not assume title case is required for search. Either title case or sentence case works for page titles, and consistency matters more than choice. A common mistake is leaving brand-specific capitalisation to the tool, which can break names such as LinkedIn or eBay. Another is using all capitals, which reduces readability and can look like shouting. Avoid mixing conventions across the site, for example title case on some H1s and sentence case on others. Also remember that CSS text-transform can display a different case from the underlying HTML text, so check what is actually stored in your CMS rather than what the page shows.

FAQ

Questions, answered

It keeps common acronyms like SEO uppercase, but check special brand names.
Review the converted text and restore any acronyms or brand styling manually. Words like SEO, FAQ and URL should stay uppercase, and names like iPhone should keep their own capitalisation.
No. The tool runs in your browser, so what you enter is processed on your device and nothing is stored or sent anywhere. Copy any result you want to keep before closing the tab, since it will not be saved.
