Check whether a website is up from our server: DNS, HTTP status and response time.
A website uptime checker makes a live request to a URL from our server and reports whether DNS resolves, the HTTP status and the response time. It answers the question: is it down for everyone, or only for me?
This tool fetches the address you enter once, from our server, and reports what a crawler would receive. The URL is not stored; only a short-lived rate-limit counter is kept. Results show the page at the moment of the check and can differ from what a logged-in browser or a bot with different headers sees.
Reads the real page at the moment you run it, with every redirect followed and shown.
Each finding says what it means and what to do next, not just a raw value.
Copy the output straight into your CMS, spreadsheet, ticket or client report.
Free, with no signup. Fair-use limits keep the tool fast for everyone.
Use a full public URL or domain.
The request is made from our server and nothing is stored.
Apply the fixes, then run it again.
A pass means DNS resolved and the server answered with a success or redirect status. A fail with no response points to DNS, a refused connection or a block of our checker. A 5xx status means the server is reachable but erroring, which you should investigate in logs. Note the response time: consistently slow replies are a warning even when the site is up. If the result disagrees with what you see, test from another network and check whether a firewall or rate limit is involved.
Do not treat one check as proof of uptime, because outages can be brief. Another mistake is testing the wrong address, such as http versus https or with and without www, which can behave differently. Do not rely on a manual tool for alerts: set up a monitor. And remember our request may be blocked by security rules that allow normal visitors.
