Compare two texts to see how much wording they share, using phrase overlap.
A duplicate content checker compares two pieces of text and reports how many phrases they share. Use it to spot near-copies across your own pages or against a source before publishing.
It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.
Results appear as you run it, with nothing to install and no waiting on a queue.
Each finding says what it means and what to do next, not just a raw value.
Copy the output straight into your CMS, spreadsheet, ticket or client report.

Pages, drafts or a source and your version.
Shared phrases are counted.
Make each page offer something distinct.
The result shows how much phrasing two texts share, so use it to spot near-copies across your own pages or between a draft and a source. Look at the shared phrases themselves, not just the percentage: long matching sentences are a stronger signal than a few common expressions. If your own pages overlap heavily, decide whether to merge them, differentiate their purpose, or point one to the other with a canonical tag or redirect. If a draft matches another source, rewrite it from your own notes and add original information instead of swapping words. Re-run the comparison after revisions, and keep boilerplate such as disclaimers separate so it does not inflate the similarity.
Do not treat a low percentage as proof of originality, since two texts can differ in wording yet add nothing new. Likewise, shared product specifications or legal text can produce high overlap that is perfectly normal. Another mistake is rewording sentences just to pass a check; the aim is to add something useful, such as experience, data or a clearer explanation. Avoid comparing full pages including menus and footers, which inflates the match. Remember that the tool only compares the two texts you provide, so it cannot tell you whether the same content exists elsewhere on the web or whether a search engine considers it a duplicate.
