About this tool

What is the Internal Link Suggester?

An internal link suggester takes your page text and a list of anchor phrases with target URLs, finds the first natural match for each phrase and returns the text with links inserted. Internal links help crawlers find pages and show how topics relate.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

The output shows where in your text each anchor phrase occurs first, with the link applied so you can copy the result. Read each insertion in context: the sentence should still sound natural, and the linked words should describe the destination. Reject placements in headings, quotes or places where the link would distract from the main point. Check that every target URL is correct, indexable and relevant to the passage, then paste the approved links into your CMS. Prioritise links that help readers take a logical next step. After publishing, crawl or check the page to ensure links work, and revisit older pages so important new content receives links from them as well.

Common mistakes to avoid

Avoid forcing links where the phrase does not fit the sentence. A match on words alone can point a reader to an unrelated page. Do not use the same anchor for different targets, since it blurs what each page is about, and avoid generic anchors such as "click here". Another mistake is stuffing the page with links until it distracts from reading. Linking only from new pages is also a gap: older pages with traffic often provide the best places to link to new content. Finally, do not link to pages that redirect, return errors or are blocked from indexing, since they waste the readers' time and crawl effort.
