Validate and format video chapters: 0:00 start, three or more, 10 seconds each.
A YouTube chapters checker validates your timestamp list against YouTube's rules: the first chapter must start at 0:00, there must be at least three, and each must be at least 10 seconds. It returns a clean list to paste into the description.
It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.
Results appear as you run it, with nothing to install and no waiting on a queue.
Each finding says what it means and what to do next, not just a raw value.
Copy the output straight into your CMS, spreadsheet, ticket or client report.
Your content stays on your device. We do not receive or keep it.
Everything runs in your browser; no channel login is needed.

Paste your timestamp list and read the result in order. A pass means the first line starts at 0:00, you have at least three chapters, and every chapter is at least 10 seconds long. If the tool reports an error, it names the line, so fix that line and run it again. Use the clean list it returns, since it standardises spacing and format, then paste it into the description as plain lines, one per chapter. Write each label as a short phrase that tells a viewer what they will find, such as the question answered at that point. After saving, open the video and check that the progress bar shows the chapter breaks; it can take a short time to appear.
The most common error is a first timestamp that does not read 0:00, for example starting at 0:05, which stops chapters from working. Another is putting fewer than three timestamps, or placing two within a few seconds of each other. People also write labels like Part 1, Part 2, which tell nobody anything, instead of describing the content. Mixing formats such as 1:5 and 01:05 can confuse the list. Do not forget to update chapters after re-editing a video; timestamps drift when you cut footage. Finally, do not add chapters that point to ads or filler to inflate the count, since they make the video harder to navigate.
