Generate VideoObject JSON-LD, with optional chapter clips, for a video on your page.
A video schema generator creates VideoObject JSON-LD with title, description, thumbnail, upload date, duration and optional Clip chapters. It helps Google understand videos embedded on your site and can support video rich results.
It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.
Results appear as you run it, with nothing to install and no waiting on a queue.
Each finding says what it means and what to do next, not just a raw value.
Copy the output straight into your CMS, spreadsheet, ticket or client report.
Your content stays on your device. We do not receive or keep it.
Only add what is visible on the page.
Paste it into the head or body.
Use Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator.
Put the output on the page that hosts or embeds the video. A good result has a title, description, thumbnail URL, upload date in ISO 8601, duration and an embed or content URL. If your video has chapters, include Clip entries with start offsets so Google can show key moments. The video should be a main part of the page and visible to users. Test the page with the Rich Results Test and check that thumbnails are crawlable and not blocked by robots.txt. Keep the markup updated if you replace the video or edit its length.
Do not add video markup for a video that is not actually on the page, or point to a thumbnail that returns an error. Another mistake is entering the duration in the wrong format; ISO 8601 durations look like PT5M30S, so check how the tool outputs it. Avoid using the same markup across many pages that do not host the video. Do not assume schema alone will make a video appear in video results, since page quality and indexing matter. Also make sure the content URL or embed URL is accessible without a login.
