About this tool

What is the Answer Block Checker?

An answer block checker tests the short paragraph that sits under a question heading: length, a direct first sentence, no throat-clearing, a concrete fact and no vague pronouns. Self-contained answers are easiest for search and AI systems to extract.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

Paste the paragraph that sits under a question heading and read the checks one at a time. Length tells you whether the answer is short enough to be lifted out cleanly. The direct-first-sentence check asks whether the opening line answers the question without warm-up. Throat-clearing flags phrases like It is important to note, which can usually be cut. The concrete-fact check looks for a number, name, date or condition. The vague-pronoun check flags openers such as It or This that make no sense when the paragraph is read alone. Fix the flagged items, re-run the check, and finish by reading the paragraph without its heading to confirm it still makes sense.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not shorten an answer so far that it loses the condition that makes it true. A one-line answer that ignores an important exception is worse than a slightly longer accurate one. Another mistake is starting with background, then reaching the answer in the third sentence. People often leave the key term out of the answer because the heading already contains it, but extracted text may appear without the heading. Avoid inventing a number to satisfy the concrete-fact check; use a real fact or leave it out. Do not apply this format to every paragraph on the page; it suits sections that answer a clear question.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Use them for questions people actually ask, not for every paragraph.
The tool is built for a prose paragraph. For lists or tables, check that the intro sentence states the answer and that items are complete and parallel. For a list, also make sure each item stands alone and begins with the key term.
No. The check runs in your browser and nothing you paste is stored or sent. Closing the tab clears it. There is no saved history or server copy, so each visit starts fresh.
