About this tool

What is the Structured Data Checker?

A structured data checker reads the JSON-LD blocks in a page, parses them and reports the types found plus syntax errors and missing recommended properties. Use Google's Rich Results Test for final eligibility.

This tool fetches the address you enter once, from our server, and reports what a crawler would receive. The URL is not stored; only a short-lived rate-limit counter is kept. Results show the page at the moment of the check and can differ from what a logged-in browser or a bot with different headers sees.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

Check that the types found match what the page is: Article or BlogPosting for posts, Product for product pages, Organization for the company, BreadcrumbList for navigation. Fix any syntax errors first, since a single stray comma makes a block unreadable. Then add missing recommended properties where you have accurate data, such as author, datePublished, image or offers. Make sure every value in the markup is visible and true on the page itself. When the output looks clean, validate with Google's Rich Results Test to see whether the page is eligible for a specific feature, and use the Schema.org validator for general syntax. Monitor enhancements reports in Search Console after release.

Common mistakes to avoid

Common mistakes include marking up content that is not on the page, such as reviews the visitor cannot see, which breaks Google's guidelines and can lead to manual actions. Duplicate blocks from a theme and a plugin often describe the same entity twice with conflicting values. Using the wrong type, for example Product on a service page, or leaving placeholder text in fields are other issues. Relative URLs in image or url fields can also fail. Remember that this tool reads JSON-LD only, so Microdata or RDFa will not appear here. Markup that validates still gives no guarantee of a rich result, so treat it as a clarity signal.

FAQ

Questions, answered

No. Use Google's Rich Results Test for that.
The page is fetched by our server to read its JSON-LD, and results are shown to you, not stored. Avoid URLs with private tokens, since they are sent to the target site.
The markup may be in Microdata or RDFa rather than JSON-LD, or it may be injected by JavaScript after load, so it is not in the raw HTML. Check the page source to see where the markup sits.
