About this tool

What is the YouTube Earnings Calculator?

A YouTube earnings calculator multiplies views by revenue per 1,000 views (RPM). Use the RPM shown in your YouTube Studio analytics for a real estimate; CPM is what advertisers pay and is higher than what creators receive.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to a server or stored.

Guide

How to read the result and act on it

Enter views and the RPM from your own YouTube Studio analytics, and read the result as a rough estimate of creator revenue for that period. If you use the CPM route, remember the number is what advertisers pay, so the calculator applies your creator share and the share of playbacks that are monetised to bring it closer to what you would receive. Try a low, middle and high RPM to see a range instead of a single figure. Use the range for planning, such as deciding how many views a month would cover a cost. Then compare it with the real revenue shown in Studio and adjust your RPM input to match what your channel actually earns.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not plug in a CPM from an article and treat the output as income; CPM is higher than what reaches creators, and many views are not monetised. Another mistake is using one RPM for every video, when RPM varies by topic, audience location, season and format. Shorts and long videos are reported differently, so mixing them in one input distorts the answer. People also forget that revenue is not profit: editing, software and taxes come out of it. Do not use the figure to promise earnings to others or to a client. Finally, ignore sponsorships and affiliate income here, since the tool only models ad revenue from views.

Questions, answered

Only as accurate as the RPM you enter. Use your analytics for the best figure.
No. It models ad revenue from views only. Add sponsorships, memberships, affiliate links or product sales separately, since they depend on deals and conversions, not on views alone. For a fuller picture, track those income sources in a separate sheet next to this estimate.
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing you enter is stored or sent. Your views and RPM stay on your device until you close the tab. There is no saved history or server copy, so each visit starts fresh.
